New Dade Medical College Homestead Campus Now Enrolling

Aug. 24, 2009 - PRLog -- Dade Medical College is now enrolling students from their new Homestead Campus located at 381 N Krome Ave, Homestead, FL 33030. Students can now sign up for introductory classes that will begin on September 8, 2009 and choose from diploma and or Associate of Science degree programs including: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography, Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, Massage Therapy and Medical Assistant.

School CEO Ernesto Perez offers: “We are excited and honored to be part of the revitalization of the historic downtown Homestead area. Our goal is to contribute to the vision of Mayor Lynda Bell, the City Council and many citizens, which is to remake the area into a safe, family-friendly place in the spirit of Miracle Mile.”

Financial aid is available to those who qualify and there is additional aid available in the form of Federal grants and scholarships. The new campus is housed within 10,500 square feet on the ground floor, features spacious classrooms and laboratories, a lounge, a library / resource center and administrative office space and will have created approximately 20 to 30 new jobs within a year’s time.

Dade Medical College is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools and is licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education, to which Perez was recently appointed commissioner by Gov. Charlie Crist. The college is also a member of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges, where Perez and COO Dean Bartness serve as Board Members.

Dade Medical College was founded in 1999 as a vocational medical institute teaching diagnostic ultrasound. The main campus is located at 3721-1 NW 7th Street, Miami, FL 33126 and like the Hialeah campus (built in 2007, located at 2750 W 68th Street, Suite 202, Hialeah, FL 33016) additionally offers diplomas and or Associate of Science degrees.

Dade Medical College’s Miami Campus recently completed an expansion featuring about 10,000 new square feet of classroom, laboratory, library / resource center and administrative offices. The Hialeah Campus features 22,000 square feet of facility space, including a new library / resource center and lounge. Also, plans are in the works for a 15,000 square foot Hollywood (FL) Campus set to open by spring 2010, which would bring Dade Medical College’s total square footage to more than 66,000.
