Avalue Releases New Menlow Platform Embedded Computing Boards

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 24, 2009 - Avalue is releasing Atom-powered Z5xx embedded computing boards, including XTX CPU module, 3.5-inch SBC, and Nano-ITX mainboard. Based on 45nm technology, Intel-named embedded Menlow platform features the two-chip platform which consists of an Atom™ Z5xx processor and the SCH US15W chipset, delivering ultra small-footprint and extremely low power and thermal. Additionally, its affordable price and fanless structure of Avalue’s US15WP Series can cost down expenses of assembling and follow-up maintenance for designers.


XTX-US15WP XTX Module
Avalue’s XTX-US15WP is the pioneer of XTX module incorporated with eMenlow platform in the market. The XTX is an extension of ETX form factor. The x2 connector on XTX has advanced functions such as PCIe, SATA, LPC Interface, digital audio and USB. The XTX-US15WP has two LVDS signals for dual display, and a Micro-SD slot on the module for more flexible expansion.

ECM-US15WP 3.5-inch SBC
With the SDVO connector, the ECM-US15WP supports multiple display, including LVDS and DVI, LVDS and VGA, and dual 18/24-bit LVDS and 24-bit LVDS configurations. It also provides one SD interface and one built-in 9-pin 2mm box header for an optional touch screen connection. The ECM-US15WP is optimized product for in-vehicle system, medical instrument, Kiosk, portable POS, industrial automation, as well as for HMI. And Avalue provides long-term product lifecycle for ECM-US15WP.

The ENX-US15WP is suitable for any low-profile embedded designs with its 120x120 mm compact size. Based on Intel’s US15WP chipset, the ENX-US15WP features advanced 3D graphics, hardware video decode acceleration, supporting Direct X9, WMV9, H.264 and MPEG2 video decoding, and HD audio interface.
