The inaugural Camp Quest Texas will be held on Sunday, August 30 as a day camp for the children of atheists, freethinkers, and humanists at a farm and petting zoo in Collin County, Texas. Sponsored by the North Texas Church of Freethought, this camp will be filled with fun activities for children between 5 and 15 years old. This day camp will promote critical thinking skills and creativity, and will encourage children to develop an independent and questioning outlook on life. Most importantly, Camp Quest Texas represents the first opportunity of its kind for the children of secular families to come together in a safe environment and make new friends without fear of being ostracized for their lack of supernatural beliefs.

About Camp Quest:
Camp Quest is the first residential summer camp in the history of the United States for the children of atheists, freethinkers, humanists, and any person who holds a naturalistic worldview. The first Camp Quest was held in 1996, and has since spread to seven independent camps throughout North America, and one this year in the United Kingdom. Campers are not expected to hold any particular worldview, but typically learn about rational inquiry, the scientific method, and practical ethics.
