Wigan & Leigh Hospice Raise £3000 with help from Three Sisters Race Circuit.

Aug. 23, 2009 - PRLog -- Three Sisters Race Circuit hosted a charity karting event for Wigan & Leigh Hospice on Wednesday 19 August 2009.

With 14 teams participating the racing was not only close, but considering that some had never been in a kart before, was to a good standard as well.  All participants were local businesses keen to participate and help this worthwhile cause whilst having some fun as well.

Although the emphasis was on fun, the racing was competitive and the winners by a lap were ‘Potters Bar’, closely followed by ‘Team Abtec’ and ‘Crazy Karters’.  The fastest lap was set by ‘Hindley MCC’ with a very respectable 49.86seconds.

Alan Cooper, Group Sales & Marketing Manager from Three Sisters Race Circuit commented ‘we are pleased to help local charities and have been working with Wigan & Leigh Hospice for some time now’.  He continued ‘to raise £3000 is a great achievement and we know that the money will be well spent and go towards much needed resources at the Hospice’.
