Aug. 23, 2009 - PRLog -- TMS Asia-Pacific today launches its 2009 second annual Asia Travel and Hospitality Industry Salary Survey, this year inviting input from more than 20,000 travel industry personnel.

As an incentive for those taking part in this year’s survey, the recruitment specialist is offering participants the opportunity to win a three-day stay at a luxury boutique resort in Thailand’s Koh Samui.

Launching the survey, TMS CEO Andrew Chan said this year the recruitment specialist was again Inviting input from senior management through to front-line staff in a wide variety of travel and hospitality industry sectors.

The primary purpose of the survey, he said, as in 2008 is to independently assess the total remuneration packages of staff and management at all levels throughout the Asia region.

The regional market landscape, he said, had significantly changed since the last survey.

“There is no hiding the fact that while light seems to be appearing at the end of the tunnel, the regional economy is still very much in recovery mode with the travel and hospitality industry continuing to suffer from the effects of the global recession,” he said.

“While the 2008 survey is seen as having created an industry benchmark in a time of relative plenty, the launch of the 2009 survey in today’s economic climate gives the poll equal if not even more significance.

“We are confident the end result and benefits of this survey, as in 2008, will prove equally as valuable.”

Winning the three-day/two-night Koh Samui package, courtesy of the Kandaburi Resort & Spa, is simple.

Participants can easily complete the online survey which is readily accessible via the following link: www.tmsap.com

But they must complete the survey by no later than 30 September 2009.

Located on popular Chaweng Beach the four-star Kandaburi Resort & Spa’s facilities include four restaurants, several bars, swimming pools and a host of sporting and cultural activities.

Survey results – and the winner of the Kandaburi Resort & Spa package - are expected to be announced at the end of October.
