Utica, New York - Slow Dancers, Kathy and Robert Hausle, have completed the release of the Social Ballroom Collection by Slow Dancers. The eight DVD collection's targeted audience is couples who want to learn to dance in the privacy of their own home. Kathy and Robert have taught countless couples social ballroom dancing skills at group lessons in schools, private clubs, and their home studio in Upstate New York. Their unique curriculum is based on "lead and follow", and the Social Ballroom Collection by Slow Dancers continues to stress this aspect of social dance. Owner Kathy Hausle states "when a man can lead his partner into patterns on the dance floor, and the women can follow, their dancing looks effortless and graceful. The Social Ballroom Collection is all about teaching the average couple to dance together, look great, and have fun".
The cornerstone of the collection is the "Essentials"
The "ballroom" DVD's in the collection teach foxtrot, waltz, rumba, cha-cha and mambo. Each DVD assumes the couple learning has had no prior experience and guides them through a dance course based on the Slow Dancer's group lesson curriculum they have used to teach over the last ten years. Kathy continues "teaching steps and patterns is great - but what we teach is how to dance together. The connection, how to group steps together, how to lead, what signals does the man give to his partner so she can follow. We all want to dance like professions - but when you can dance socially well - you will feel smooth and look great. Our DVD's are geared to average people - and with a little time and patience, any couple using our DVD's will dance great."
