KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Portable Storage Association (NPSA) has announced Professor Stephen Miller, Department Chairman of the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, will provide an economic forecast at its 7th Annual Conference and Exposition at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas from October 25-27, 2009.
Miller held visiting positions with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston for the first half of 1978 and with the Congressional Budget Office for one year in 1987-88. His research interests span monetary, macroeconomic, and international finance theory and policy; international trade and applied microeconomic theory; financial institutions;
"Professor Miller has a deep understanding of the world economy," said John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director the NPSA, a nonprofit membership association dedicated to the advancement of the portable storage industry. "His experience in both the public and private sectors at both the national and international level position him to offer an economic forecast that will help our members navigate the recessionary waters."
Over his career, Miller has authored more than 100 professional journal articles and several research monographs, presented papers at professional conferences, universities, and other venues on more than 100 occasions, and refereed papers for more than 50 professional journals. Finally, he appeared in Whos Who in Economics, a listing that includes the 1,200 most frequently cited economists from 1990 to 2000.
