Disposal options for dead animals have changed in recent years. You are invited to learn about using composting as a method to dispose of dead animals. Composting has proven to be an economical and environmentally sound disposal option. Composting information presented at each of the meetings will be the same.
August 27(6:30PM)-Mike Sherman Farm, Montgomery, Lycoming County
Speaker: Erin Ackerman, PA Department of Agriculture
This meeting will include a pasture walk to look at the rotational grazing system and other conservation practices in place on the farm. Mike recently purchased a Hereford bull from Pharo Cattle Company in Colorado.
September 1 (7PM)– Middleburg Livestock Auction, Snyder County
