Hollywood, Ca.
it’s small world as they say and no where is that more apparent than in the film business. In a recent interview director James Anthony Cotton speaks of the links of his cast in his new film “THE CONFESSIONAL”
and there classic horror pedigree. “It was somewhat amazing how it worked out that some of the cast turned out to be just six degrees of separation in horror pedigree,” Cotton said. “for instance actor Kurt Paul who plays Mr. Jenson in the film was involved in Psycho legacy, Psycho II,III & IV and starred in the Bates Hotel TV movie as Norman Bates, while actress Karen Kahn starred as Christopher Reeves wife in John Carpenters re-make of the classic “Village of the Dammed”. Even Jane Longenecker who play Brenda was the star of Roger Corman’s “Dinocroc”
. It didn’t really dawn on me these wonderful actors I had chosen had so much in horror genre legend in common.” said Cotton. “ I even had the joy of casting film legend and Oscar and Emmy nominee Quinn Redeker as Father Mills in the film. All of the actors gave wonderful performances and really brought this script to life!”
The film, “The Confessional”
is an independent feature with an amazing ensemble cast of characters in a twisty psycho-thriller plot due out later this year. More information on the film and cast can be found on IMDb at :
