RENTON, Washington -- Lightel Technologies, Inc. today announced the release of its new DI-1000-digital video microscope for fiber optic connector inspection. Connecting directly to a PC through the USB port, the DI-1000 features ergonomic design, one finger focusing, and a built-in image freeze/capture button. Software based digital zoom is also available as a standard feature.
The DI-1000 comes with Lightel's free ConnectorView software which provides image display, image capture, auto-calibration, and basic analysis tools. The DI-1000 can also use Lightel's soon-to-be-release ConnectorView Plus software which will provide automatic pass/fail analysis and reporting.
Lightel has a history of innovation within the fiberoptic industry. The CI-1000 set a new standard of portable video microscopes. Lightel's patented ViewConn® was the first video microscope offering inspection and cleaning in one hand-held unit. ViewConn plus was the first to offer inspection of both male and female connector endfaces without changing tips. And last year's VC-6100-OPM added that important third step - testing, becoming the only integrated hand-held inspection, cleaning, and testing unit in the industry.
