HOUSTON – All but a Small Painting (published by iUniverse) by author J. Olin Fischer is his first compilation of 46 word paintings stemming from his experiences of living in the Andes many years in addition to traveling to 40 countries.
Romance, nature, spirituality, social issues, and even comedy are painted by Fischer, influenced by Asian literature, world religions, and mysticism. As Plutarch stated: “Poetry is a speaking picture. Painting a silent (mute) poetry.”
With a unique voice, Fischer shares his inspirations with readers as they can feel resonating heartfelt, succinct, somewhat Eastern philosophies:

About the Author
Born on the 4th of July in Washington, DC, J. Olin Fischer grew up a Mississippi River boy from Missouri. Graduating from SE Missouri University, he taught ESL in Colombia and lived in the Andes for 5 years. At 10,000 feet by a mountain lake with 7 waterfalls, tropical rain forest, orchids, word paintings became the inspiration. After experiencing over 40 countries, many paintings born from them. J.
