Attorney Paul J. Margiotta is announcing that he is filing a $100 million lawsuit on behalf of his client, Jeff Colletti, a member of the Nassau County Sherriff’s Department. Mr. Margiotta states that his client’s civil and constitutional rights were violated when he was denied a leave of absence to care for his sick wife and newborn child, and that his client should have been entitled to take time off under the federal Family and Medical Leave Act.
