Local Class On Buying Foreclosures A Big Success

Local Realtor teaches home buyers and investors how to buy in the current real estate market.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 20, 2009 -
Deland, Florida -- With foreclosures still at an all time high in the US, a local class teaching families and investors how to buy distressed properties is seeing booming success.

Local Realtor, Richard H, Zwick, a 25-year veteran in the field and a Certified Distressed Property Expert, hosted the free class.  “Every seat in the place was filled”, says Zwick, “people are eager to realize the bargains that can be had in a market like we’re in now”.

According to The American Banker, a publication owned and operated by SourceMedia, despite some encouraging economic signs, a clear majority of bankers surveyed by the Federal Reserve Board do not expect the current market to normalize before 2011; giving buyers time to realize these bargains.  However, cautions Zwick, “This market won’t last forever, with real estate, you have to strike while the iron is hot. The prices are low and interest rates are low – the best scenario for a home buyer or investor. However, you have to know what you are doing in the market or you could lose a lot of money.”

The 60-minute class, which is followed by a tour of available distressed properties in the area, teaches buyers:

•   Why all foreclosures are not great deals.
•   The best price to offer when buying a foreclosed home.
•   Why buying a home at a sheriff’s sale is usually a bad idea
•   How to avoid getting stuck with costly repairs when buying a foreclosed home.
•   The percentage of foreclosed homes that are in “move-in” condition.
•   A little-known negotiating strategy that can save thousands when buying a foreclosed home.
•   The average time a foreclosed home stays on the market and how to benefit from this information.
•   When banks get motivated to sell their foreclosed homes, and when they decide to lower the price.
•   When the listing agent gets motivated to sell a foreclosed home and why the represents a tremendous opportunity for buyers.
•   How to structure an offer to get it accepted by the bank.
•   And more.

Zwick, author of “Foreclosure Home Buying Secrets”, gave attendees a free copy of his 100-page guide.
