Aug. 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Evers & Co. Real Estate has 65 agents, and about a third of them are on sales teams. Donna Evers, owner of the Washington, DC, company, would like to see even more of her agents join teams.

In the August 15 issue of industry newsletter "Real Estate Broker's Insider," she notes that a well-oiled team can accomplish more with less stress than a single agent can.

"This is almost like being a doctor on call," Evers says. "Things happen on weekends, they happen during evenings, they happen during the day. If you want to have a life, you can't respond to it all."

While bickering teammates can be a management nightmare, Evers says teams largely make her life easier.

Evers offers the following recipe for making the team approach work: Make sure your agents have the right personality to be good teammates (control freaks need not apply). And teach them to pick the right partners (those with complementary strengths and weaknesses work best).
