Music Box Theatre in Minneapolis will open it’s doors tomorrow for the very first Minneapollo Talent Showcase. Auditions have been taking place since the beginning of August and hundreds of locals have come to show their talents. People have come in from as far as Wisconsin and even Florida to audition and be on the show. The show has had such an explosive response a waiting list had to be opened for future auditions.
“ Minneapollo Talent Showcase has got all of Minneapolis buzzin” says Barbara, a 33 year old hair stylist who will be performing as a singer.
This is the first Minnesota based televised talent show of this magnitude. With all of the artistic diversity that Minnesota has to offer it was a no brainer to put this show together.
The idea of the show is if you have some sort of special talent or gift come show it off! The fun part is unlike other television talent shows, at Minneapollo the audience is the judge. The show is comprised of artistic and talented individuals of all ages performing all sorts of acts including soulful poetry, comedy, singers, dancers, and instrumentalist. Everyone is here for fun, a good time and oh yeah the coveted title of “winner”. One winner is chosen by the audience each show Apollo style.
Hosted by radio personality Miss Shannan the show is honored to have local celebrities who will be making guest appearances such as Jamecia Bennet mother of Paris Bennet of American Idol and a house band comprised of Minneapolis musicians.
You can come be apart of the audience at Mineapollo every other Friday starting August 21st doors open ay 7:00 and the show starts at 8:00.
