With Neil Young and Bob Dylan listed as influences along side Robert Earl Keen and Johnny Cash, Jordan Craig creates a brand of country and blues music that is part red dirt and part swampland. Fans love it, and Blues Farm Records has signed Jordan Craig to “the little label that could.”
Jordan travels throughout New Mexico and Texas singing songs to fans and meeting the folks in his songs. Calling his music New Mexicana, Jordan writes about current issues like corruption, religion, drugs, and his personal favorite, drifting.
Jordan's debut CD, out on Blues Farm Records in September 2009, is called Back To Louisiana. It has a Cajun sort of feel underneath, like a party is going on, but the lyrics are often wove of stories telling of heartache and pain. It still feels like the roughness of the southwest.
Jordan kept his first album simple, true to how he performs in real life, just a man with his harmonica and guitar, singing what he sees.
