The first issue of iMotors, a brand-new, interactive, digital magazine from the publishers of Car Buyers Guide (http://www.cbg.ie), went live last week. Published fortnightly, iMotors is delivered straight to a recipient's inbox and can be read for free online. Each issue includes a host of interactive features, including motoring news, interviews, videos, reviews and previews of the latest drool-inducing supercars and hot hatches. It’s all presented in an innovative new digital format that allows you to ‘turn the pages’ right on your computer screen and combines traditional text and images with exciting interactive enhancements to deliver a rich multimedia experience.

The highlights of the first issue of iMotors included an in-depth look at the Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider 16M, the fastest open-top Ferrari ever built, including a hair-raising video of its run up the hillclimb course at this summer’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Other models featured included German tuner Brabus’ take on the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé and the hardcore FQ-400 version of Mitsubishi’s fearsome new Lancer Evo X. The forthcoming ‘budget’ Rolls-Royce, the astounding Ferrari F430-based Novitec Calavera and Porsche’s €380,000 911 GT3 RSR customer racing car were all also previewed, with all the car features boasting unique ‘rollover’ points that reveal even more details about key aspects of each model when passed over with the mouse cursor.

The issue also included news of Ferrari’s much-anticipated F430 replacement, the F458 Italia, and the first Cannonball Ireland charity motoring event. A feature on the American Muscle Cars Ireland owners’ club kicked off what will be a regular section looking at the clubs and associations that are the lifeblood of Ireland’s motoring scene, while the timeless E24-model BMW 6-Series coupé was the first classic car to be profiled in the magazine’s Classics section.

But there’s more to iMotors than just cars – the magazine’s ‘Cool Stuff’ pages keep readers up-to-date with the latest must-have gadgets for their home, car and pocket. The first issue looked at the unique Zero S electric motorcycle, a walkie-talkie watch, a keyring breathalyser and the Solio solar-powered charging device. iMotors also includes comprehensive classified listings of thousands of used cars for sale in Ireland, making it easy for readers to track down their next car.
