Picture Library Sdn Bhd, Malaysia's oldest stock photo library, announced today that after 17 years it is changing its name to "PhotoAsia Picture Library", effective immediately.
"The old name has accomplished what it was set out to do: promote Malaysian stock photos by Malaysian photographers. We will now focus on expanding our collections by introducing photographers from China, India, Thailand and Indonesia," said Ms. Doreen Lau, Managing Director of PhotoAsia.
"Our new identity better reflects what our company does, providing high-quality royalty-free and rights managed Asian stock photography for business, design, advertising, and publishing needs."
Following its change to a new name, PhotoAsia will not only continue to pursue this high standard of selection but will encourage its photographers to aim to shoot digital images that is unique, rarely seen and off the beaten track.
