Never lose your friends again!
Now that good old Sony Ericsson has updated the firmware for the every popular W995 you will always know where your friends are located, thanks to the inclusion of latitude to the built in google maps application.
By adding your best friends to the feature you will be able to locate them on the map. The practicalities of this are not difficult to imagine. For example, did you lose the address to that party that you were invited to? Simply turn on the google maps and you will be able to join in the fun in no time.
On the other side, some people might not wish to be located, for reasons only they may or may not want to give. They will be please to know that this can be turned off.
There is also a new cam version (1.7) available for the phone which improves its performance in low-light conditions, thus reducing the need to tweak the settings.
The new firmware can be updated either via the phone's own Update Service or the W995 can be updated using a PC or laptop and the PC software that comes with all Sony Ericsson phones.
