The global consumer goods company Reckitt Benckiser is running an online contest asking entrants to create a new product for the festival market.
They are looking for people with entrepreneurial spirit and the winner gets $5,000 (or local equivalent).
Entrants need to upload a video describing the product and how they'd bring it to market and why they made the decisions they did.
Videos will be rated by the public and the top 20 will be judged by a panel of journalists, marketers and academics.
The challenge by RB (they make Neurofen, Clearasil, Veet, Dettol etc) is open to anyone from the UK, US, Brazil, Russia, Germany and India.
The whole contest is being carried out online. It was launched on Facebook and the company's bloggers and Twitterers have been following the progress and commenting on entries.
All the details and an explanatory video is on RB's Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/
This then takes you to the competition site where there are already a number of entries (from a biodegradable tent and hangover Strepsils to a human car wash and a barrow seat!)
But don't delay - the deadline for entries is midnight (GMT) on August 21, 2009.
