CADline, specialist in geospatial matters and the leading provider of AutoCAD software and AutoCAD training courses, is highlighting an exclusive software solution, ideal for businesses, organisations and government agencies.
The Spatially Aware Data Analysis System (SADAS) consists of a range of powerful integration tools, allowing for data mapping and integration facilities to work as part of the existing legacy systems within any organisation considering SADAS.
In addition to making the sharing of data easier between different teams or departments, the system also allows for datasets to be accessed while storing data effectively, keeping records clean, up-to-date and organised.
Debi Peppin, Director of CADline, said, “The system has already been successfully implemented by several local authorities, including our most recent new customer, the London Borough of Lewisham. CADline have implemented the BS7666 compliant systems both for local government and major industry sectors for the past fifteen years using SADAS and as a result, the system has been significantly helpful to our customers to ensure their data is reliable and is held in one location.”
The system’s open, modular design has been praised by the London Borough of Lewisham, due to its ability to enable the integration and data mapping facilities with the legacy systems already in place. SADAS has been designed to account for the simple fact that address records are the single most important and widely used piece of data used by local authorities. Indeed, the system was used by Lewisham to organise and update its’ Oracle database, which held address records of those living within the borough. Approximately 44,000 addresses were removed, as they were either duplicate entries or had been entered incorrectly.
Debi added, “Local authorities and organisations will probably already have well-established databases in place. However, SADAS does not require you to replace these datasets and will instead look to establish links to them, making operations run far more efficiently.”
SADAS has also been designed to ensure validation and audit checks are built into the modules to ensure anomalies are continually removed and that the existing data is fully verified.
CADline has also exclusively developed a comprehensive set of mapping and GIS applications, which have been incorporated in the SADAS Web Mapping/GIS tool. This tool allows employees and contractors to contribute to the quality of the data, allowing users to perform simple tasks such as the reporting of incidents or sending out notifications of upcoming events, avoiding complex form filling procedures or the need to hold expensive face to face meetings, in addition to providing the publishing of datasets onto the internet quickly and clearly.
