Aug. 18, 2009 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS, NV -- Since the unfortunate flop of Rosie O’Donnell’s variety show the past year, no new attempts have occurred… up until now.  An experimental television series called “Intensi-T TV” (pronounced, “Intensity”) has been silently rising from the Las Vegas underground.

Created by one of House music’s pioneers, Mickey Oliver, “Intensi-T TV” has been tagged as innovative and daring because… well, it’s a variety show for one, but also because of its main twist; the entire cast is… women!  Beautiful, talented Las Vegas women.  Female dancers, specialty acts, Vocal performers, not to mention the pace of the show is non-stop as it keeps up with its high energy dance tracks.  All original or remixes, and all produced by Mickey Oliver himself.  Included are comedy sketches, music videos and on-the-scene travel.  Just pure, hot entertainment.

“Intensi-T TV. T for Talent, at intense levels!”

Starring and co-hosting the show’s first season is Elk Grove’s (CA) very own, Raquela. Before “Intensi-T TV”, Raquela was seen on the New York Broadway stage and has made a name for herself as a recording artist on the Billboard dance charts.  She has recently signed with a San Rafael record label called CAPP Records.

Currently, “Intensi-T TV” is airing in more than 10 US markets, 10 European countries and has already received a Nielsen rating.  It continues to concentrate its syndication in the US.  Not to mention, it has already begun pre-production on its second season.

Critiques still consider ‘variety’ a thing of the past, but when Rosie O’Donnell said she was going to take a stab at it, there was an overwhelming sense of hope and hunger for the genre.  The problem was her approach to the content.  So what makes Mickey Oliver any better?  During the early 80’s, everyone was told that dance music was dead. Despite that obstacle, Mickey Oliver still turned DJ-ing and radio mix shows into a reality. Even 20 years later, it continues. To this day, hundreds of thousands of DJ’s all over the world make a comfortable living out of the art, and it was Mickey’s endeavors that helped establish that for them.  What next? Dance variety television?  Raquela was asked a similar question…

“I’m so proud of this show.  I still receive enormous amounts of emails asking about the series.  This show has what it takes to satisfy everyone’s curiosity, including the female audience…” Raquela continued, “…Everyone is always craving for more dance.  If the female talent on this show is no different from ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ or ‘Dancing with the Stars’, then why can’t this show make a difference too?  Mickey knows what he’s doing and he knows what works.  I say take it on.  There’s nothing to lose but great, high quality entertainment.”
