Think about it, how much profit is there in fresh fruits and vegetables? The influence the media has on our daily lives is powerful and make no mistake about it, there are big profits at stake concerning the modern American diet.   Here are 4 simple things you can do for better health and reduce your long term health risks:

1. All Calories Count: Sounds simple but all calories do count when it comes weight control. With the avalanche of food advertising we see everyday is it any wonder that we're on the verge of a national weight related crisis. With all of the fast food temptations to the ready to eat snack foods, controlling ones calorie intake is critical to maintaining a body weight that is in a normal range. Big Big money is at work with today's marketing, take a good look at the nutritional value of most of the foods that you see advertised many times every day.  

2. Quality matters: The nutritional Quality of the food we eat matters! If we eat food that is nutritionally poor our bodies will "crave" more food to get the nutrients it needs to build and repair cellular damage that happens as a result of our daily body functions as well as oxidation that occurs naturally within the cells of the body. With the wholesale use of chemicals in today's modern farming practices, the nutritional quality of the food we all eat everyday has gotten worse and worse.
