The site, www.wineseek.com.au, which offers a huge range of Australian and imported wine hopes to kick off a successful launch campaign with purchase incentives and prize opportunities during the months of August and September.
Michael Davey, the proprietor of the successful East Melbourne wine store Gipps Street Cellars, sees the company’s new website as the logical next step, “We wanted to supply quality wine at real value for money with fast, efficient delivery to anyone who wants it,” said Davey, a wine merchant of 25 years standing.
With over 1000 Australian and International wines there is something for everyone, including many wines not available at the local discount stores. As an incentive to get registrations for their e-newsletter, The WineSeek Sentinel, WineSeek are offering the chance to win a d’Arenberg 1995 Dead Arm Shiraz. In addition, special loyalty discounts will be on offer for sales up until Christmas.
Davey believes that the new website presence will enable him to continue to offer his products not only locally, but nationally and internationally as well. “It’s been a long road getting the site up and running,” said Davey, “but I’m proud of what we’ve achieved and in the short time we’ve been live the site’s had a fantastic response.”
One of the more unique features of the new site is the WineSeek Forum, giving the opportunity to anyone to write anything about wine. Wine Forums seem to be a rarity and Davey is hoping it will generate a lot of interest. “We’re planning on having guest wine makers and wine writers answer questions from the public. Apart from the Forum’s traditional role we’d like to use it in ways that have yet to be explored,” said Davey.
"We're hoping that customers will enjoy the website experience and the products we offer," said Davey. "We’ve tried to create a clean, uncluttered browsing experience for both those that know exactly what they’re looking for and those that need advice to help make their decision.”
