Late Night Slice Now Open In Short North

Great Pizza, Movies, and Sassy Signs Make for a Great Addition to Short North’s Late Night Line up!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 17, 2009 -
COLUMBUS, OH – Late Night Slice has opened its first location in Columbus’ Short North Arts District.  Nestled in pocket between The Fire-Proof Storage building and Bodega bar and restaurant, between 2nd and 3rd Ave. on High St.   Offering authentic hand-tossed New York Neapolitan pizza slices, warm, fresh baked cookies, and canned sodas, Late Night Slice also offers three or more free  movies a night projected on a massive drive-in-style screen, outdoor seating under the stars, and sassy signs meant to make everyone who approaches smile, and ask themselves, “just how do I ‘pizza my face off?’”  Late Night Slice is currently open only Thursday through Monday from 9pm to (at least) 3am and usually beyond, and opening seven days a week very soon.  “For a better idea of our hours and our concept, just come up and read our signs” says owner Mike Sorboro, “They’re pretty outrageous!”
This marks the first restaurant (a term the owner uses loosely) for Short North resident Mike Sorboro, who also owns ECT Pedicab, a bicycle taxi service also in the Short North.  “Late night pizza by the slice is something this area needed.  Our only walkable late night options were sliders and gyros” said Sorboro.  “Late Night Slice’s concept is simple; we sell great pizza by the slice, warm delicious cookies, and drinks.  We’re open to at least 3am, and we show free movies, that’s it.” continues Sorboro.
Themed nights are something Late Night Slice is experimenting with also.  On Monday’s, starting promptly at 9pm, you can come enjoy a free double feature movie selection and discounted pizza slices.  Sundays, starting August, 30th will be called “Socially Urgent Sundays” where you can come play games for charity followed by the showing of a socially conscious documentary.  Sunday, the 30th they will be playing 2006’s “Who Killed the Electric Car”. Tuesday’s will be “New Release Night” and Wednesday’s; Sorboro is playing around with the idea of “Music Night”, where a few video concerts will be shown.  The best way to keep up with their ever changing menu, movie selections and theme nights is to become a fan on Face Book at www.facebook.com/latenightslice.   A website is coming soon.
