Harbourside Custom Homes Reports Uptick In Luxury Home Sales In Lee And Collier Counties

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 17, 2009 - BONITA SPRINGS, FL – Harbourside Custom Homes, an NRS Diamond Award winner for customer satisfaction, reports it has three luxury homes in the permitting stage, including two in Lee County and one in Collier County.  

Jerry Colton, C.E.O. of Harbourside Custom Homes said the homes are in the $1 - $2 million range.  They include a modified Mediterranean-style Estate Home in the Naples community of Mediterra with 4,700 square feet and a 3,600 square foot Lifestyle Home at Palmira Golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs.

Colton said the upscale home builder is also planning a nearly 5,000 square foot contemporary Estate Home at The Quarry in Collier County.

The builder also reports the sale of an inventory home in Shadow Wood Preserve and a home site in Palmira Golf and Country Club within the last 30 days.

“The customers showing up now are serious about buying or building a new home,” said Colton.  “They’re watching the market and they realize prices aren’t going lower for quality new construction.”

According to a recent Wall Street Journal article, improvement in luxury home sales nationwide over the previous quarter hints that the luxury market is beginning to stabilize.

“They’re not knocking down our doors,” said Colton, “but seeing serious buyers during this time of year is a good sign for the upcoming tourist season.”
