UST GlobalSM (UST) has announced that it will open a new IT services delivery center located in Chile. This announcement follows a meeting with Chilean president Michelle Bachelet at the Palacio de La Moneda. The government of Chile has committed to several million dollars in incentives towards the development and ongoing operations of the delivery center.
UST’s Arun Subramony has been appointed as the COO of the Chilean center, an independent legal entity operating as a business unit of UST. The new location, scheduled to open in late 2009, will expand UST’s geographic footprint to nine countries and five continents and will serve UST customers around the world, with particular benefits to North American companies.

UST is currently finalizing preparation of facilities and hiring the staff required to meet its initial contracts.
