Aug. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- AC?DC – The Ultimate Tribute to Bon Scott are coming to play the House Of Blues @ The Fort in Dungannon on Friday 21st August with special guests Pay*ola, Twister and Dutch Party.

AC/DC made their first Irish appearance in 13 years in the newly re-opened O2, Dublin in April along with the massive outdoor concert at Punchestown Racecourse in June. So how about re-living some of those moments of two epic concerts?

Ireland’s long term answer to this is: AC?DC who formed in 1992 – 13 years after the death of original lead singer Bon Scott - got together initially through an unquestionable love of AC/DC and Bon himself in particular. They practiced, found a singer who looked & sounded exactly like Bon and played various gigs in Belfast and around Northern Ireland and then Dublin. However in 1994 the band decided to take a break for a while and that was it until February 2003. . .

AC?DC got back together after almost a 10 year break with a brand new and even stronger “Bon”, rehearsed for a year and a half and played they’re first return gig, at the Rosetta Bar in Belfast in December 2005.

Since then the Ultimate Bon Scott Tribute band have played numerous times in Belfast at the Rosetta and the prestigious Spring & Airbrake. Furthering on from this they found the demand for a top class AC/DC grow in N.Ireland as they found themselves playing The Nerve Centre in Derry, The Diamond Rock Club in Ahoghill, along with pubs and clubs Maghera Limavady and Doagh. AC?DC have been invited to play Spring & Airbrake once again in Belfast in September and hope to play in Glasgow this year – the home of AC/DC guitarists Malcolm and Angus young, but for now they are focused on playing in The House Of Blues @ Fort Bar in Dungannon on Friday 21st August.

As it is the 30th Anniversary of AC/DC’s most popular album “Highway to Hell” (also the last album to feature Bon Scott as he passed away in the back of a friends car six months after their tour ended) and has the certification of going 7x Platinum as of May 2006. AC?DC base their 2 hour plus set on the “Highway to Hell” tour of 1979, playing many classics from the album.

Also is included is some of their very own favourites and other crowd requests, so they’re set includes the likes of Live Wire, Sin City, Dirty Deeds Done Cheap, Whole Lotta Rosie, Bad Boy Boogie, TNT and perhaps the most infamous one of all ‘Highway To Hell’, ofcourse this is only a small selction of what people will be hearing in August.

Like any authentic AC/DC tribute band, these guys will be giving the you the FULL show from the Angus’ striptease – certainly a sight not to be missed - to the walk through the crowd during ‘Let There Be Rock’.

AC?DC really are on top of their game and have never played in Dungannon before, but are really looking forward to a night of classic DC in one of Northern Ireland’s top venues that boasts an in-house P.A suitable for live bands, a 50 Sq Metre stage (Perfect for AC?DC’s Angus to do his one legged strut), along with a fantastic lighting rig – not bad for a small town!!!

Adding to the nights entertainment will be Pay*Ola, Twister and Dutch Party. Pay*Ola are an act not to be missed as they have shared stages with the likes of Bad Company, Status Quo, Thin Lizzy, Audioslave and many more throughout their successful career. The band have been playing their first mainland Europe dates this year and are going to France in Sept for a string of dates.

Twister are a classic hard rock and metal covers band from the Dungannon area who specialize in playing the hits of Queen, Thin Lizzy, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica and have over 70 years playing experience between them. Twister are also appearing at this years ‘Altitude 09’ rock festival. Twister are the perfect spoonful to get you in the mood for a serious night of rockin’ at The Fort. Opening the night are local punk-rock high energy favourites ‘Dutch Party’.

Be sure to add Friday 21st August to your diaries and come along to witness a true authentic AC/DC Tribute band. Doors open at 9pm with admission at a REAL BARGAIN of £5 before 10.30pm and £7 thereafter.
