The natural phenomenon of cooling our body is termed as sweating. It is responsible for maintaining the temperature in our body steady. The total sweating process is controlled by our brain. The central nerve system is the one which issues instructions for the sweat glands to sweat.

There is another nerve system called sympathetic nerve system which acts independently and issues commands to the sweat glands without the knowledge of the brain. This factor leads to over sweating. It affects the personal as well as professional life. Hence reducing sweat becomes unavoidable.

The causes for excessive sweating are;

Excessive caffeine intake – Caffeine is stimulant. It is present in a large amount in coffee. The stimulant induces the sympathetic nerve system which in turn activates the sweat glands resulting in excessive sweating.

Alcohol consumption- Alcohol is also a stimulant. It does the same activities performed by caffeine.

Prolonged smoking- It affects all our purifying organs and produces nervousness. It is a primary cause for sweating.

Hereditary- excessive sweating may be due to the genetic problems. If one of the person in the family has excessive sweating, it may arise in others too.

Obesity- It is another prime factor. There will be lots of impure water content in the body of the persons affected by obesity. All the waste water has to be removed. The only way is sweating. That is the reason why people having the problem of obesity sweat a lot.

Taking spicy foods- Theses foods produce sweating as well as body odor. By avoiding spicy foods sweat can be reduced quite easily.
