The 36 year old Trainee Accountant has promised to raise a minimum of £2,850 in sponsorship in order to take part in the 120km trek over a 10 day period. The money will go towards funding projects in the area, to help vulnerable children and young people.
Sarah commented: “I heard about Trek China 2010 on Heart and it sounded like a brilliant way to experience something completely different, meet new people and help children in my local area who really deserve it. I like to set myself new challenges, to push my physical and mental capabilities, this one in particular has an added bonus where others less fortunate can benefit from my personal challenge, an amazing way to ‘give something back’ to society”.
A Have a Heart spokesperson, added: “It’s a real commitment to take part in Trek China 2010 and we are extremely proud of those taking part. Not only will it be an experience of a lifetime but it will also raise valuable funds for Heart’s ‘Have a Heart’ charity.”
