While ABillionBits.com, the new site by Itzhak Schier, in which he sets out to earn one billion dollars by selling one billion bits at an average net price of $1 per bit, is in its very infancy, one early client has already reported great success and very positive results from his Bit.
The Bit, which combines a generously sized front page logo or other picture, a page driver link to the customer's own website, SEO features, and a unique title, is available for $1.50 each for single Bits.
"Payperz", whose ventures include a student writing community and a website domain registration affiliate marketing venture, placed three Bits on the site during its very first days.
And Schier, its creator, was pleased to see that user "payperz" had commented on his web domain registration Bit, which is encouraged so as to spur viewer interest and increase the exposure of the Bit.
The comment explained that "payperz" had attracted two customers in a few short days, and that these two customers brought him far more revenue than the mere $1.50 per bit that he had spent for his two domain registration related Bits. Since his affiliate marketing site includes a downstream, the value of these two clients over the lifetime of his site is quite great indeed. Schier, a devout Chabad-Lubavitch Chassidic Jew who prides himself on adhering to a rigorous code of ethics, replied with another comment in which he asked his customer if he could use the comment for promotional purposes. As the response was affirmative, Schier then shared it with potential customers, whom he expects "to flock to the site and start posting Bits the moment businesses reopen on Monday morning after a quiet August weekend".

He explains: "I want to make sure that everyone who posts a Bit gets the most out of it, and that even though I am charging very little per Bit, that the Bit has the maximum possible value for every one of my clients. Since the value of these Bits lies in site viewers being able to find them and click on them, I want as many possible ways for them to be able to both enjoy clicking on interesting Bits and find the ones that they are looking for as easily as possible." To this end he has also enlarged the front page picture to 175 * 175 pixels so that four appear per row and visibility is therefore improved.
