PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 15, 2009 -
Legendary investor Henry Kaufmann, the contrarian investor who looks for opportunities whilst others run for cover, is investing heavily in Costa Rican land and property as are Steve Case AOL founder, Mel Gibson, Danny Devito, Madonna and Oprah Winfrey to mention just a few.

Kaufmann is reported as having said that he believes there are little opportunities in the established US market and that market volatility and low property prices are there to stay.

Costa Rica is an attractive retirement destination for baby boomer retirees with its fantastic climate, low cost of living and excellent medical care and it is still just a couple of hours flight from friends and family in the US.

Kaufman and these other investors are land banking – purchasing land in advance of development and benefiting from the increase in value of the land as demand increases.

Land banking opportunities have traditionally been the preserve of the wealthiest property developers.

Land is in limited supply and they just “aint making  any more of it” and nowhere is that truer than Costa Rica. With more than 25% of the country zoned as natural park and forest preserve never to be developed and a stated aim to be carbon neutral by 2021 (which will require the preservation of more land), the amount of development land available is already limited and will become more so.

The reduced supply coupled with increased demand from retiring baby boomers can only lead to increasing property prices.

Most land banking opportunities come with a downside, you only make money when you sell your land and if the value of the land has increased.

Finca Di Pacifico Dos offers an incredible opportunity land banking opportunity but with the additional security of the valuable commodity teak growing on the land. The teak offers guaranteed returns and security for your investment whilst the land offers the huge potential of all land banking plays.

Ideally located on the Pan American highway, halfway between the two international airports, overlooking the Gulf of Nicoya and just 20 minutes from the emerging tourist destination of Puntarenas, investors can purchase plots from 1,000 square metres upwards, benefit from 12-15 year old teak growing on their land and partake in land price increases yet to come.

Costa Rica Invest specialises in environmentally friendly, ethically responsible, high yield investments, primarily in Costa Rica. Finca Di Pacifico Dos is Costa Rica Invest's current project which gives the security of a teak investment combined with the potentially spectacular returns of development land banking in the no. 1 emerging economy in Central America - Costa Rica
