Red Ledges Golf Course Park City Utah area

Aug. 14, 2009 - PRLog -- Less than 2 miles east of Main St. Heber City, Utah down Center St. (aka Lake Creek Rd. lays the Red Ledges community development. Red Ledges’ new golf course opened for play on the 3rd of July, 2009. The private course is the newest addition to the Park City area golf courses now numbering over 15.

The much anticipated golf course opening offers many answers to the questions about how tough the course may be and if it would be playable for the average golfer. The recent Nicklaus design company course addition at Promontory in Park City has proven to be exceedingly tough by amateur standards. The new golf course at Red Ledges had been described during the layout and development as a “classic risk/reward style course”. During development it was also noted that Nicklaus used the natural contours of the land and had designed the greens so as to be receptive and forgiving.  

Rob Harris and Todd Anderson of the YouInParkCity.com group recently played the new Jack Nicklaus signature golf course at Red Ledges.  The pair noted that many of the course hazards are located where the average player “misses” and described it as a course “you need to think your way through”.  Mr. Harris found the course to be a fair test in a beautiful setting. While Red Ledges has made the golf portion of the development the first amenity to the community, golf is not necessarily the main focus of the overall master plan. Like other Park City real estate area private community and club style developments, Red Ledges plans a community style social atmosphere based around pool and gym facilities, equestrian access, future tennis club facilities, and planned social events.
