The Bihar state of India

PR Log (Press Release) – Aug 14, 2009 – Bihar is a state in the north of India. It is considered as the jewel in the crown of the Indian republic. It is considered as the Hindi heartland of India, often described as the cow belt synonymous to the bible belt of the USA.

Till now Bihar was seen as one of the most backward of states of India. Even today Bihar is one of the most backward of all Indian states. Illiteracy is rife, crime is almost a cottage industry; all this must go credit to the politicians of Bihar. Bihar was considered as one of the most progressive of all Indian states. It was described as a model state on which all other states should frame itself.

What actually happened to that state of Bihar? Bihar went in decline after several years of independence. After independence Bihar went on a steep rise as one of the best states in relation to industrial development, but as corrupt politicians took office; a culture of crime crept it. Although Bihar remained a favourable state, it received patronage and funds to bring back its former industrial self. But it never did.

Nonetheless, Bihar had taken new steps towards development. Today industries are being set and are thought to be one of the most favourable states for investment. Today Bihar has great a educationalist elite and produces the highest number of administrative officers of India. The people of Bihar have produced the most intelligent doctors and scientists spread throughout the world.
