NEW YORK, N.Y.– Peak Discovery, Inc., a supplier of document review and e-discovery services, and New York Law School (NYLS) have announced the appointment of adjunct professor Michael Dalewitz, who will co-lead the school’s new e-discovery course.
The field of e-discovery continues to grow in importance but law schools have been slow to reflect this rapidly growing field in their course structure. NYLS is the first law school in New York and one of the first in the country to provide an e-discovery course for its students. Beginning in the Fall 2009 semester, the course will analyze the issues, rules, cases and governing laws surrounding e-discovery, as well as the civil and admissibility of digital evidence.
“We look forward to welcoming Michael into the faculty”, said Carol Buckler Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at NYLS. “The inclusion of such an important topic in their legal education will benefit the students as well as their future employers. Every law student who plans to get involved in any aspect of litigation would learn valuable skills from a course like this.”
