"Certainly this will not be a competitive paper for our Downriver paper The News Herald, but a supplemental form of communication that can bring our community together," said Kane. Being involved with many Trenton organizations, Kane realized all the potential stories that could be covered. Because there is no central marketing office for Trenton, (though the Parks & Recreation department coordinates many of the City marketing efforts) she hopes a paper like this can help tie in all the organizations and programs that the community of over 10,000 residents possesses. “My passion is promoting business and people and seeing them succeed,” said Kane. This new venture which is associated with her Trenton marketing firm, is a natural connection with other groups she helps to promote like the Trenton Business Association, Mid-Summer Festival and Kennedy Recreation Center. Her family is also involved with the Hockey and Baseball Association, Taylor PTO and Rotary Club.

The Trenton Tribute will initially have a circulation of three thousand. One thousand will be distributed to various neighborhoods each edition. They will also be available free at Westfield Center, Kennedy Recreation Center, City Hall and other various Trenton Businesses. Subscriptions will be available for mailed delivery or email and classified advertising will also be available. Advertisers are welcome and the deadline for ad copy and proposed story ideas is the 15th of the month.
