VFD E series
The VFD-E Series are Low-horsepower constant-torque micro drives, IP20 rated, modular in design and with extension option cards for communication networks or increasing the Input/Output capacity of the built in PLC function.
Available in the UK from System Control Solutions the VFD-E series of sensorless vector constant-torque frequency inverters.
The in built PLC has been upgraded to perform an outstanding 500 steps of logic, allowing the ability to write and execute within the drive, control programs such as multi speed selection, by selecting 2 out of 6 inputs , 15 different speed routines can be selected without any external timers or control logic hardware or alternately monitor the current and output an alarm when moving into a overload regime.
With most AC Drives only boasting just a few steps of internal logic, the VFD E can also talk directly with a operator panel (HMI) via the inbuilt modbus as standard, allowing the user the ability to set recipes, monitor the current or frequency of the drive directly without the need of a external PLC or control hardware.
The Software is the same as used for programming the Delta Electronics Programmable Logic Controllers, and it is Vista compatible and more importantly it is Free, with no licence purchase or upgrade costs, downloadable the latest version is available from the Delta Electronics website or via a link on the SCS website www.scslow.co.uk , all programming performed in either step sequence or ladder logic with 28 internal functions such as timers, counter etc the choice of control logic is almost endless.
IP20 rated, modular in design with flexible extension option cards and built in PLC functions, the VFD-E has the ability to write and execute simple control programs, avoiding the need for external control hardware when used in many applications.
With an EMI filter built in as standard (switchable for IT/medical applications)
The VFD-E comes as standard with Modbus protocol via RS485, but also has optional fieldbus modules for connection to a variety of networks including Profibus, DeviceNet, LonWorks and CANopen.
The design incorporates high-efficiency cooling, thereby allowing multiple installations "side by side" for panel space saving, further extending the flexibility of the compact design and also available with DIN rail adapter for control panel installation space maximisation.
Multiple VFD-Es can be connected in parallel to share regenerative braking energy, preventing overvoltage and giving DC bus stability.
