While many insurance companies and banks are closing branches in rural and suburban areas, Tower is bucking the trend by opening a branch in Dunedin’s city centre.
“Many people living in and around New Zealand have been affected by the recent closures of insurance insuranceand bank branches. While local residents can still do business over the phone, many people simply prefer to do business face to face with real people. That’s what our Dunedin branch opening is all about,” says James Douglas, CEO of Tower Insurance.
Tower is in the process of launching branches in major centres around New Zealand, and Dunedin is the first branch to open its doors.
“After listening to our customers we recognised the need for physical branches, which will complement our 0800 and website service. Early on in our research we identified that Dunedin was our number one priority,” commented Mr Douglas.
The Dunedin branch opens to the public on 17 August 2009 and is located at 43 Filleul Street in Dunedin’s city centre. The new branch will offer the full range of Tower products and services including Car, House, Contents, Travel, Rural and Business insurance ; Health & Life insurance products as well as Investment and KiwiSaver .
