“Once these types of candles are burned they release toxins such as benzene and toluene which are inhaled and can linger in areas where burned” comments marketing director Clarence Hendricks, “these candles are as dangerous to the lungs as second-hand smoke and it’s a non-renewable resource,” adds Clarence.
“Laguna Candles was founded on the concept of eco-friendly products and clean burning candles that would not harm the environment or the home. Based on the extensive research we did on things that could cause cancer, we realized that Paraffin candles with lead wicks were toxic to the environment.
