Portumna Chamber of Commerce launched its Portumna tourist town map / brochure in the Social Centre of Portumna Retirement Village.
This full colour, quality brochure includes a street map of the Portumna town, and features editorial on the main visitor attractions in the area as well as advertorial for the tourist related businesses.
The publication will be distributed free of charge to tourists via the tourist accommodation, the members’ businesses and the visitor attractions in the area. The brochure was produced by Limerick based tourism marketing company Glance Promotions who will distribute the brochure through its network of distribution stands in outlets in counties Galway, Westmeath, and Limerick.
The publication promises to be an essential marketing tool for tourism in the area and is the first of many initiatives that the Chamber of Commerce has in store to boost tourism figures in the Portumna area. This user friendly brochure/map highlights the wealth of amenities, shops and services that Portumna has to offer the visitor. The Chamber of Commerce hopes that this will encourage tourists to travel to Portumna and stay in the area for longer.
The publication was funded in the main by the business community of Portumna and also received grant assistance from Galway County Council under the Community Support Scheme.
