Wet T-Shirts and Hot Dog Eating Contest to Benefit Local Pets

LAS VEGAS, Nevada; Hot Dogs and Wet-Shirts for Dogs is the theme for the annual Izzi Foundation fundraiser that will kick off at Noon, Saturday, Aug.22 at The Half Shell Restaurant located at 30 E. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson,  Nevada. The proceeds will benefit the local no-kill animal shelters for the care of pets in need.

It will be a hot afternoon with a Hot Dog Eating Contest, a Wet T-Shirt Contest, Silent Auction with donations from Harley Davidson of Southern Nevada  and the rockin; sounds of  Vegas’ favorite boys, The Voodoo Cowboys  (http://www.voodoocowboys.com ).

The winners of the Hot Dog Eating Contest and the Wet T-Shirt Contest will win $500 cash respectively. Harley Davidson of Southern Nevada will have items in the silent auction and Budweiser of Southern Nevada is one of the sponsors.

Admission is free. However, donations can be made payable directly to The Izzi Foundation and dropped in the Izzi Dog House the day of the event.  

About Izzi Foundation: The Izzi Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps the community by offering veterinarian services to families with pets, that cannot afford the costs of these procedures, as well as donating time and funds to animal shelters. The deepening foreclosure crisis also is having an effect. A growing number of pet owners are abandoning their pets or surrendering them to shelters after losing their homes or being forced into housing that doesn't allow animals. Local animal shelters will  have to shoulder the additional. financial burden. Izzi Foundation raises funds to help off set these expenses of no kill animal shelters
