Beverly Hills - The recent article by artist, writer, and progressive thinker Landon Ross has caused quite a stir on The Huffington Post. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/
"It makes no difference who you are, you don't write an article full of lies, whose main purpose is to berate and attack a substantial minority of the population, and then expect to be taken seriously" Ross says,
"what's worse is that the entire tirade is about as mature as an adolescent tantrum, name calling and all. Yet the L.A. times ran it! I was honestly shocked. Imagine the L.A. Times running a piece that name-calls, and attacks, Jews or African Americans or any other group of people... you can't, because they wouldn't have run it. Atheists are the only American minority you can publicly slur, and get away with it."
If Ross has his way, they won't be getting away with it for long. Throughout the piece, he points out and distills for the reader, the "prejudice and fallacies" within Allen's Op-Ed. In good form, Ross explains why attacking a group of people in the pages of a widely read publication, whether you are a believer or a non-believer, should bring shame upon those responsible for the dissemination of it:
"At least in the professional world," he says, while dragging on a cigarette, "I am the first amendment's greatest defender, even hate speech is constitutionally protected, but I won't give a person my time or my respect if they engage in it; and where I can, I'll fight it."
Wherever you stand on the issue of religion, Ross' article is well written and illuminating. It's a piece that everyone should read, if only to know the arguments. We strongly recommend you take a look at this controversial and entertaining polemic. LMS Newswire
