Join us at AV Framing Gallery in Fountain Square for an exciting exhibition of bright, brilliant hues and forms, “Colour Form”.
Over a decade ago, Darrell L. Anderson relaxed from the exhibition schedule in order to concentrate on his artwork, his method, and how these two disparate parts of an artist’s career collide. Like smashing an atom, Anderson found his freedom in what he calls “colour form”.
It is work based on layers, always covering previous work to reveal the true nature of a piece. “I start working abstractly, then use shape, color and light as a fulcrum to define the composition,”
These paintings take a great deal of time to create and ruminate. The result is an exquisite collection of paintings, masterful in their mood and subtle simplicity.
Come see for yourself! Meet Mr. Anderson on Friday, September 4 and learn more about “Colour Form”.
