The Woods Coffee partners with Pure Water for the World

PR Log (Press Release) – Aug 12, 2009 – The Woods Coffee is proud to partner with Pure Water for the World, Inc., a non-profit humanitarian organization to help children who are suffering and dying from drinking contaminated water.  Currently 1.2 billion people around the world do not have access to this essential human need.  All of The Woods Coffee locations now feature bottled water from Pure Water for the World, Inc. available for purchase.  Each bottle purchased provides $.20 to support Pure Water’s mission of providing clean water and hygiene programs for school children and families where they work.  For more information on Pure Water for the World and their mission, visit www.purewaterfortheworld.org.

The Woods Coffee was established in 2002 by the Herman family of Lynden. With a dream of starting a chain of coffee shops, the family pooled their talents and resources to create the first store at Bender Plaza in Lynden. Six months later, they opened their second store, and have continued on a steady growth pattern throughout Whatcom County.   The Woods Coffee is proud to be the Green Business of the year. As well as Best Coffee shop in the Bellingham Herald’s Reader’s Choice awards.  The Woods Coffee is the official coffee of Ski to Sea and the Whatcom County Home Show.
