Prince of Persia - The Game: is an action-packed adventure and platform video game developed and published by Ubisoft.
The game is set in ancient Persia, although the exact century is not revealed. In the game, the player assumes the role of the Prince, whose name is not revealed in the game. The Prince is accompanied by a girl named Elika, whom he met after a large sandstorm diverted him from his course and he ended up in a mysterious land.
Players travel many different environments using the Prince's acrobatic abilities to scale walls and even crawl on the ceilings. Throughout the journey, players encounter various enemies as they attempt to cleanse the land of corruption. Elika is gifted with magical powers and she interacts with the player in combat, acrobatics and puzzle-solving, enabling the Prince to reach new heights of deadly high-flying artistry through special duo acrobatic moves or devastating fighting combo attack.
As the game progresses, the Prince can collect Light Seeds. The Light Seeds unlock certain abilities for Elika, which allow her to access various parts of the game world. The abilities activate certain plates, which, when boarded by Elika and the Prince, allow them to perform acrobatic feats that they couldn't otherwise, using magic. The new rogue warrior, i.e. the players must utilize all of his new skills, along with a whole new combat system, to battle Ahriman's corrupted lieutenants to heal the land from the dark Corruption and restore the light.
In short, the story is about an adventurous prince (i.e. players) who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.
