Kuang Tai Metal Industrial Company Limited (“KT”), founded in 1978 under the stewardship of TL Chou, recently set up its newest subsidiary, KT Welding Technologies Pvt Ltd, in Pune, India.
KT is well established as a leading manufacturer of welding consumables like SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW to name a few. Its top range stainless steel wires are used widely in both welding and non welding applications. KT is equipped with cutting edge technology and equipment, thus it has the ability of offering its customers a wide range of products at competitive prices. The Indian arm has been incorporated as a trading company, aiming to market its full range of welding consumables. It is fully geared to meet customer demands within the shortest lead-time, which is facilitated by the fully-stocked warehouse in Pune. It is also supported by a team of trained and specialised sales and service engineers in providing value-added services and solutions to cater to customers’ expectations. In line with KT’s mission to supply only the highest quality products, a testing laboratory is set up alongside the warehouse in the outskirts of Pune, offering a one of its kind service to its customers, namely the testing of similar products in the market to attest the outstanding quality of KT products.
Mr VK Sud is appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Indian subsidiary. He comes on board with over 40 years of rich and diverse experience specializing in the fields of wire drawing and iron powder making, both of which are critical components for the welding industry. Prior to joining KT Welding Technologies Pvt Ltd, Mr Sud was the founder and Managing Director of Hoganas India Limited for 16 years.
