Singer/Songwriter Sheyna Gee has lived in California all of her life. Sheyna knew, before she was 10 years old that she wanted to become a singer/songwriter. She began singing and writing songs at an early age and eventually ended up on Ed McMahon's popular TV show Star Search. Since then, this talented young lady has performed at Radio City Music Hall receiving the only honor in Rock presented by the Arts Endowment Foundation. Afterwards, Martin Scorcese and Alexander Berishnikoff met with her backstage to congratulate her on her performance. Sheyna also holds a distinction as an opening act for Stevie Wonder. Though underage, with so many clubs off limits to her, she has still managed to perform on the Hollywood Sunset Strip at popular and traditional rock clubs such as The Whiskey and the Knitting Factory.
It was no surprise when this tenacious young lady decided to go to Nashville and look up Curb Records, the home of such famous recording artists as Hank WIlliams, Jr, Ann Rimes and Wynona Judd. Sheyna simply walked in and asked for Carol Curb, only to be told Carol was in California, the State she had just left. Not to be discouraged, Sheyna returned to Rancho Cucamonga to pick up her guitar to write more music.
Her inspiration comes from early experiences of her life. Although she now lives in a beautiful home in the Alta Loma Hills, life was not typically “Brady Bunch”. Sheyna’s mother, a single parent, is her biggest fan. She’s worked hard and made sacrifices to ensure that Sheyna and her brother Scott Gee, drummer for the popular group Love Hate Hero received music and > vocal lessons. Her younger sister Briana, a licensed small aircraft pilot, has opted for a more traditional education. A few years ago their house
burned down and they were forced to live in a local hotel. Caring for their pets became a real challenge for them but they were able to feed them when Sheyna took her guitar to Venice Beach performing with a cup at her feet.
Sheyna is tenacious about her career and is willing to put the time and effort into becoming a successful entertainer. She has the talent, the drive and the ambition. She has thousands of fans on her “myspace” page and continues to write songs that tug at your emotions. Sheyna is negotiations with Jeff Arcio of GigPro Productions for representation and will have her management team in place before the end of the year. “I have dreamed of a successful career in music”, said Sheyna.
