Archer Receives NYS Woman-Owned Business Status
Archer Communications, Inc., a full-service branding and integrated marketing communications firm located in Rochester NY, is proud to announce that it has been granted status as a Women-Owned Business Enterprise by the New York State Department of Economic Development, Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development (DMWBD).
As a bona fide Women-Owned Business, Archer will be listed in the Directory of Certified Minority and Women-Owned Business, which is utilized by State and federal agencies, public authorities and major corporations seeking certified vendors and service providers.
“We are pleased to have been granted official women-owned business status,” said Carol Davison, Sr. VP of Client Services at Archer Communications and majority shareholder. “We anticipate that our State recognized certification will benefit many of our existing clients and help Archer pursue new business opportunities on both local and state levels.”
Rochester-native businesswomen, Carol Davison and Elaine Lennox have been primary shareholders since January 2007, when Archer changed ownership and became a C Corp, employee-owned, share-held company.
The Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) program was designed to assist the growth and development of businesses owned and controlled by women and minorities. An important activity of the program is to increase the participation of certified businesses in New York State procurement opportunities.
