Sterling, NY, August 15, 2009 – The Sterling Celtic Rock Festival, a weekend of heart-pounding live music and dance, authentic food and drink and unique Celtic crafts, debuts August 22nd and 23rd, 2009, the weekend directly following the Sterling Renaissance Festival, at the Sterling Festival Grounds.
Featured band, Enter the Haggis, will deliver a high-energy Celtic-based explosion of blues, funk and rock. Also appearing at the two-day Festival, international Celtic rock sensations Searson, Cara, The Glengarry Bhoys, Barleyjuice and Rathkeltair. Main bands will perform across three main stages.
Traditional Scottish and Irish dance troupes and local acoustic musicians will perform on secondary stages throughout the wooded festival grounds.
Savory Celtic and American cuisine will be available along with a wide variety of domestic and import beers. Authentic and handmade crafts will also be displayed and available for purchase throughout the Festival site.
