Guamanian rapper, Upwordz, headed to Japan

Aug. 11, 2009 - PRLog -- Scheduled for the end of August into the early weeks of September, Upwordz, a new up and coming Christian hip hop artist from Long Beach, CA will be in Japan for a hip hop mission tour trip; "Japan 4 Jesus Mission Tour Trip."  Upwordz has partnered with APX Mentoring, Inc, a community based outreach Non-Profit organization, that has laid the groundwork for this venture to the Far East.  

"The obvious goal of this trip is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the hip hop generation in Japan, which is considered a country in the 10/40 window.  Upwordz has been faithful in his youth and music ministry that we've decided to partner with him and send him to Japan, an area that God obviously cares about, but also a place Upwordz has felt called to," APX Mentoring, Inc. Executive Director and founder Rob Pene (APX).

Upwordz recently completed an album entitled "The Upward Call" and hopes to share his music in the streets through street rallys, in the churches to encourage the native missionaries, and in the secular hip hop venues.
